Keep track of your card's balance to ensure your transactions are approved.

Notify the cashier of the exact balance when making a purchase that exceeds the balance remaining on the card in order for the card to be approved.

Include the tip at a restaurant in the initial transaction because it cannot be added once the sale has been authorized.

Pay inside for gas purchase. You will not be able to pay at the pump.

Cards can be purchased in any amount from $10 to $500 at any RCU office.* There is a $2.50 per card processing charge and cards cannot be reloaded with additional funds.**

Sign the back of card immediately after receiving. The card does not have a PIN, so it can not be used at an ATM or for cash advances. You must choose "credit" as your payment option.

Keep your card in case of merchandise returns. The refunds are often credited back to the card used to make the original purchase. It may take three to seven days for the funds to be available.

** If the card is inactive for 12 consecutive months, beginning the 13th month there will be an inactivity charge of $4.95 assessed to the card each month until the card either becomes active or reaches a zero balance.
